Important Influenza Information
Our Clinic is following CDC and Public Health guidelines in dealing with possible
cases of Pandemic H1N1 Influenza this year. These guidelines are meant to insure
that all patients needing medical care are able to get it, while minimizing the risk
of spreading the disease. If you have fever, cough, muscle and/or head aches,
especially if preceded or accompanied by diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, please
assume that you have H1N1 Influenza and stay at home. If you must go out, wear a
mask and wash your hands frequently.
You should be seen by the doctor if you are having problems with severe
shortness of breath, chest pain, confusion or severe irritability, dehydration, or if
you got better, but fever and cough returned more severe. Otherwise bed rest,
with plenty of fluids, Tylenol in appropriate dose, and staying home until your
fever has been gone for at least 3 days is the treatment of choice.

We will be giving H1N1 Flu shots according to the CDC established priorities, as it
becomes available.
